Each headpiece I create is designed with care, research, and imagination: a small work of art in its own right.

​

Every piece is made by hand and reflects many hours of design and craftsmanship. My work is available for hire, purchase, or commission under agreed professional terms. I work best with clients who value creative integrity, respect for time, and clear communication.

COMMISSIONS

 

I am happy to discuss commission pieces with stylists for special projects, or for film, theatre or television productions. Prices begin at £400 for custom-made pieces.

RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

I am happy to offer my tiaras and headdresses for hire to costume departments for film, theatre or television, stylists, and photographers. Each piece is crafted with care and represents many hours of design and handiwork, so clear terms help ensure their safe and professional use.

RENTAL PROCESS

​

Enquiries are welcome via email or through social media. 

 

Once a selection has been made, a rental agreement and invoice will be issued.

 

Items are dispatched only after payment is received (or upon receipt of an official purchase order for productions).

 

The rental period begins on the date of delivery and ends on the date the item is received back.

RENTAL FEES & DEPOSITS

​​​

Rental fees are typically 10–20% of the retail value per week, depending on the item.

 

A refundable security deposit (equal to half of the retail value) is required for independent stylists and productions without a formal purchase order.

 

Shipping costs (both ways) are covered by the renter.

RENTAL CARE AND USE

​

 

All items must be handled with care and stored appropriately when not in use.

 

No alterations, adhesives, or pins may be applied directly to the pieces.

 

Items must not be exposed to rain, excessive heat, or strong light sources.

 

Any damage, loss, or alterations will incur repair or replacement costs, deducted from the deposit or invoiced separately.

 

 

CREDIT, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND IMAGE USE

Designer credit - Mr Mortimer's Wife - must be provided wherever the item appears online, in print, or on social media.

 

Credit to the Designer should be tagged where appropriate.

 

Official photography featuring the rented item may be used by the Designer for promotional purposes (website, portfolio, social media), unless otherwise agreed in writing before the rental.

 

Where possible, the Designer should be given access to approved press and/or production images featuring the item, to be used for promotional purposes.

 

The item must remain the creative property of the Designer — no sublicensing, reproduction, or duplication of the design is permitted.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

​

​

All items are sent via insured, trackable delivery.

 

The renter is responsible for the safe return of the item using equivalent insured postage.

​

 

 

CANCELLATIONS

​

 

If a booking is cancelled after dispatch, the full rental fee remains payable.

 

If cancelled prior to dispatch, 25% of the rental fee may be retained to cover administration time.

 

 

 

DAMAGE, LOSS, OR NON-RETURN

​

If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, the renter agrees to pay the full replacement value as stated in the rental agreement.

 

 

 

COMMUNICATION

For productions, I require clear communication from the renter regarding production and filming schedule and any deadlines involved.
